The multilingual singer will give a concert on 27 August, performing her well-known titles, such as Hobbi Leik (My Love for You), from the TV series Layali Eugenie (The Nights of Eugenie, 2018), Dawam Al-Hal Mohal (Nothing Lasts Forever) from the film Al-Donia Bil Maqloub (The World Upside Down, 2015), Al-Hob Al-Mostahil (Impossible Love, 2018) and Ya Mahroussa (You, the Protected One) from the film Al-Kenz (The Treasure, 2018). The festival is organised by the Cairo Opera House and held in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. Are you kidding me?! And my mom def didn't mind being driven around in a drop-top for five days. The highlights of the festival include four concerts by female singing divas - Nesma Mahgoub, Nouran Abu-Taleb, Tania Saleh, and Hanan Mady - which are slated for the final days of the festival (27-30 August). Thank you times a BILLION to Mercedes-Benz!! I sure as hell wasn't going to pass up any opportunity to not drive this babe.

But! This year particularly, we had a beautiful, free Mercedes-Benz E 450 Cabriolet-aka the most fabulous convertible ever-to ourselves the whole trip.

Shockingly (LOL), I have never needed my mom to DD for me at one of these things, though, I am thankful that she was up for it if I couldn't drive. Without her motherly and nurse superpowers, I don't even wanna know what could've happened. I won't get into the nitty-gritty of it, but shout-out to Coco for quite literally saving my life when I fainted in an insane mosh pit at Coachella 2017. And when you're someone like me, who's four-foot-eleven inches, and the size of a fifth grader, the crowds are an absolute nightmare. Sh*t happens, my friends-especially at music festivals. Megan Uy She'll have your back if you ever, like, pass out. Peep my mom's ? fire ? work that she's done over the years. And she'll always follow your lead because she only wants to make you happy and see you shine! As long as you give your mom the main pointers, she's gonna nail the job. I said what I said! Come on, she knows your angles. Unpopular opinion: Your mom is a better photographer than your BFFs. She'll take alllll your pics with a smile on her face. So, if you're interested in the idea of living the #VIPLyfe at a music festival, ask your mom if she'd do it with ya. We were both more than okay with spending more cash in exchange for shorter food and bathroom lines, shaded seating areas, exclusive viewing sections, and guaranteed phone service.

She wasn't exactly up for the ~authentic~ adventure of waiting in 30-minute food lines or sitting in random, dusty, unshaded corners to take a breather like my spring chicken, high-on-life friends would've been.

But I was willing to make a deep dent in my bank account (I am no rich girlie whatsoever) so that I could get the full festival experience without feeling stressed or overly exhausted. And this is totally fair! A thousand bucks is more than some rent checks. If you went to a music festival with your friends and brought up the idea of dropping a lil over $1,000 on VIP tickets, the majority of them would balk and shut it down (I'm speaking from experience). She'll probably be more into the idea of spending the extra $$$ on VIP tickets than your friends.
